The problem

Bring visitors and organizers into one product, and keep the path to a ticket short.

The events market in Kazakhstan needed one place where listings and ticket sales live together instead of being split across separate services. The hard part is that the platform has two sides: the person searching and buying, and the person publishing the event. Both had to work under a single sign-in, with no split accounts and no extra steps before a purchase.

The approach

01Step

Catalog and event page

Designed the event catalog and the event page so people find what they want fast and understand exactly what they're buying.

02Step

Checkout flow

Built the shortest path to a ticket: from the event page to checkout, with nothing in between.

03Step

Organizer dashboard

Built a dashboard where organizers create an event and run it inside the same system visitors use.

04Step

One login

Tied both sides to a single sign-in — email and Google OAuth, one account for the whole platform.

05Step

Localization

Adapted the interface for the Kazakhstan market, so the platform reads as local instead of translated.

Business impact

The platform brought both sides of the market into one product: visitors buy tickets and organizers publish events under the same login.

Before the project

The early prototype wasn't yet a place where local listings, ticket sales, and an organizer dashboard worked together.

Users and channels

Two sides — visitors and organizers.

Where it broke down

The path to a purchase had to stay short without splitting the two roles into separate accounts and interfaces.

What changed in the process

The same day-to-day workflow, before and after the product launched.

After

01

The result

The platform is live at wevent.kz. Visitors find events and buy tickets, organizers publish them — both sides under one login. The product grew out of an early prototype called StyleMix and now runs as Wevent.
